Very nice scripting, the whole story closed in a circle, I love it!

Thank you a lot, Shiyu! πŸ˜„

beautiful little vignette!! i especially loved the background art. normally it's almost an afterthought in games like this, but here the sea almost feels like the main character :) all around just very lovely.

Aw, thank you, this makes me happy to read! I tried my best to make the backgrounds simple but still nice and atmospheric, so I'm glad you liked it! :D

IVE PLAYED THESE GAMES BEFORE I KNEW HE WAS DEAD BUT WHY DOES IT STILL HIT SO BADLY TT

So cute and adorable. I always love a good written green flag.
(Only complaint is that there is no kiss scene, haha)

Heheh, thank you! And yeah, Thomas is a sweet one <3

a beautiful little piece. completely agree with other players mentioning the scenes being atmospheric and Thomas being the sweetest boy ever. surrounded by the ocean ambience in my headphones, the exchange feels breezy yet intimate, lighthearted yet deeply personal. super immersive. immaculate vibes

the yellow subtitle on blue is a aesthetically complementary and eye friendly choice, visually standing out while not ruining the scenery

on a critical note, one thing i noticed is the little sound fx for every time i click to proceed dialogue is slightly delayed. otherwise no noticeable complaints

Your comment and the other ones with such amazing feedback are truly warming my heart. I'm very thankful! β™₯

I try to bring to my little visual novels a bit of what I would love to see and feel as a player/reader 😊

Did you play the game in the browser? I have the feeling that it's a little buggy (both sfx and ambience sounds being delayed) :(

yo, just checked the exe, same delay. might deserve a slight tweaking

Oh, really? When I tested it on my side, it seemed to be fine, but I'll definitely check this out again. I hope it wasn't too distracting while playing the game.

Thank you for letting me know!

I really enjoyed this game! The dark blue colour scheme is really atmospheric and the contrast with the yellow subtitles looks clean, and the character design/art style of Thomas is really charming. I also liked how it was a self-contained story that was fleshed out enough to feel personal but it was also concise enough to have an engaging pace. Really nice :)

Hey, thank you! πŸ˜Š

I also enjoy the contrast between blue and yellow (or orange) very much and thought it was fitting for the feeling I was looking for the story. About the story - I'm glad you think so. Finding the balance was difficult, but I'm happy with the result and to know that it worked!

Hi! My name is BΓ‘rbara, and I really enjoyed your project! I noticed that Brazilian Portuguese is listed as a language that will be implemented soon. I’d love to contribute if you’re looking for someone to help with the PT-BR localization, including proofreading or testing. I have experience, and I’d be happy to help!
If you’re interested, feel free to contact me on Discord: @fokkenvarbie <3
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi BΓ‘rbara!

The PT-BR localization is already covered, but thank you very much for reaching out and offering to help with it! It's very nice of you.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and I wish you all the best for your future translation work! :)

I really liked how you implemented it. The atmosphere is fantastic, what a great visual novel. Honestly, I’m in love with the ambiance. If I could make one suggestion, though: maybe adding a subtle background melody, something in the vein of Mac DeMarco, would be incredible (at least from my perspective). It would really enhance the way your visual novel feels.

That's so nice to read! I try my best to create a nice ambience in my little visual novels and knowing that other people were able to feel that is very satisfying.

I chose to not have any background music so we could just focus on the sounds of the ocean during the conversation with Thomas, but I like your idea and can see how a melody in that style would be very cozy!

Thank you for playing! :D

Oh wow, that made me tear up. I love Thomas; his character design is so beautiful. It's short but a very fulfilling story.
